We are in love.....

We received baby girls information yesterday via "FedEx stork", signed the LOA (letter of acceptance) and ran out to Kinko's to catch the last FedEx drop.

She's beautiful and we are so in love!!

Do you notice that I am calling her baby girl??

Well, a while back Jay decided that Isabel wasn't "the name" anymore and really I am fine with that. I really love the name she has now....Jia Lan which means beautiful orchid. Love it! Still working on Jay but I think I am convincing him.....

  2. She is sooooo beautiful!! So are you going to call her by her Chinese name? I do like it!! I would have considered that but I am having a hard time saying our daughter's Chinese name. For some reason it kinda of tongue-ties me...

  8. How funny about the name! My husband and I had decided on a name for our daughter - definitely! Even bought really expensive Winnie the Pooh style letters in bone China from England with her name spelled out. When we received the referral, her name was "Tian". Someone at work asked me why I would ever name her the English name when Tian was so beautiful. I went home and mentioned it to my husband and we never looked back! I have never regretted keeping her Chinese name - it's unusual and absolutely beautiful and completely her! I laugh now when I think of the name we were going to call her - she is certainly NOT a Joely!
